The bike was due for an oil change so it was back into Sturgis, while it got a blood infusion Vicki and I met an old chap who recognised Invercargill as the place Burt Munro came from, he plans to visit one day. He was excited when I gave him a patch from the BMC rally. We returned a little later with the bike and he almost exploded when we gave him a Burt t shirt, an offerings to the God of speed cup and plenty of other info.
For a guy who has raced at Bonneville, his mother certainly gave him an appropriate name Ray C Wheeler.
Before returning to the motel we called in at Jerry Brewer's Engineering. They produce the most vintage Indian parts in the USA, and have some interesting bikes and stuff.
Vicki and I left Deadwood on Da Bus at 2pm heading for THE, beers are available on the bus and autographing the bus is encouraged.
We hoped to see ZZ3 play again at 4 however we were dissapointed.
We were kept entertained by bikes, babes, beers, breasts, bands and barmaids for sometime. (Not to mention the beefcake barmen, for Vicki)
And we found Wally!
Then around 8pm ZZ3 played again, yay!
Another journey on Da Bus
got us back to Deadwood just in time for us to catch the last trolley to the motel at midnight. The Priors were well asleep after waiting most of the dat for paint to dry.
