Planning the trip

After talking to friends and reading many emails, about motorcycle trips to the US, I decided that we needed to go too.
I started looking at different things to do, or go and see. I started working out a rough route. I didn't realise how many times it would change.
The decision to go, was made in 2015, time to save some dollars however when the tickets were bought in October of 2017 things started to get serious. We were going!
We had so many things to do, sort out the children, passports, $US, find a bike, insurance and lots more.
We have been told that it may be a good idea to put a sticker on the bike to show that we were Kiwis, so I designed this one.

We will put this on the bike and hopefully the locals will forgive some of our driving mistakes.

Hi all

Here is the most recent photo of us and our children, Margaret and Douglas

It was taken just after we marched with the Scouts in the ANZAC day parade in April.

This blog is just to keep a record of what we are up to during our trip.
Tag along for the ride if you want.
My plan is to add a photo or two and say briefly what  we have been up to each day.
There may be days when I run out of time or are to  busy doing stuff to make an entry.
